River Forest Public Library Foundation is an IRC 501(c)(3) organization. 
WHY IT MATTERS:
Growing demand for space: Since May 2023, Library meeting room use is up 15%, study room use 39%, and children's play visits 46%. Yet many requests go unmet due to limited space. An ADA Family Restroom and Staff Workspace are also essential needs.
Cost effective way to repurpose interior space: The Library now has the opportunity to reclaim interior space. With a new  air handler relocated outdoors, former mechanical space can now serve the community - a rare chance to expand within the Library's landlocked footprint. (The decommissioned air handler was housed for nearly 30 years inside the building next to the Children's room.)

Donating appreciated securities is easy to execute and benefits both you and the Foundation. When giving stock that has appreciated more than one year, you may claim the full current value as a donation and eliminate the capital gains tax you would owe if you sold the stock and donated the proceeds in cash.

  • Complete the form and submit it to your financial advisor

​Individuals who are 70 1/2 or older may make a charitable gift transferred directly from your Individual Retirement Account (IRA) to RFPL Foundation.
