New Community Room, Family Restroom and Staff Workspace now open!
Since 2015, the River Forest Public Library Foundation has supported the Library through advocacy, fundraising, and grants.
In September of 2025, the Foundation embarked on a fundraising campaign to raise $150,000 to support three new facility improvements: a new community room, a family restroom and improved staff workspace.
River Forest community members stepped forward to support their library. More than 200 individuals and families contributed to a fundraising campaign, led by the River Forest Public Library Foundation, that raised the $150,000 needed to complete the facility improvements. This campaign built upon an earlier Foundation grant of $250,000, which paid for the air-handler replacement and preparatory construction work.
