Be a Part of the Story!
River Forest Public Library (RFPL) lives at the heart and soul of our community. The Library connects the community in many important ways from encouraging literacy and a love of reading in infants and children to supporting adults and teens with information and enrichment as they explore ideas, learn skills, seek jobs, build relationships, and escape isolation.
Read what your neighbors have said about River Forest Public Library (RFPL) and RFPL Foundation:
“We give to the Foundation to celebrate our family's love of reading and to honor our children's experience at the River Forest Library. The library's children's programming was one of our first River Forest experiences after moving to the area and immediately helped us to feel part of the community. We are so appreciative of the library's creative programming that helps encourage our kids to read and explore topics that interest them." Lindsay and Joe McIntyre “River Forest Public Library offers many anodynes to help residents cope with a noisy, stumbling, conflicted, and sometimes wonderful society -- books, tapes, lectures, insightful presentations, videos, educational events, and more -- all in a comfortable, family friendly setting. Like a valuable gem, RFPL is an indispensable community resource deserving every penny donated to keep it shining brightly.” Don and Francie Coe “An up-to-date collection of books, video, and more; a friendly staff; a welcoming, enriching place for people of all ages...To me, the Library is an important part of what makes River Forest a community.” C.
